How I Work With You

I inhale media. My office resembles a newsstand, my DVR is always full, and you don’t want to see my e-mail inbox. To get you on TV and radio, in newspapers and magazines, and in social media and online, I do my homework so I can develop appropriate story angles for each journalist and each outlet. I expand my team as needed, from media training and video to copywriting and social media campaigns, depending on the scope of your project.

Here are the steps I take:

1. ID the Story

The first step in the process is to capture your story, and develop appropriate news angles.

2. Create Content

Now it’s time to create your press kit, which includes press releases, bios, backgrounders and photos.

3. Reach out to Media

The next step is to identify the media I’ll be approaching and create story suggestions for each editor or reporter. This is an ongoing process where I cultivate relationships, getting to know what editors need.

4. Pursue ongoing coverage

Over time, I’ll work with you to cull fresh content to take to editors and reporters. I’m always looking ahead to develop seasonal pitches or timely story ideas to continually have something fresh and relevant to say.

5. Monitor Media and Report to You

Throughout your campaign, I monitor your media coverage and regularly report back on the efforts and results.
